Mohair Tonneau Cover: cut out some leather-patches and glued them on the underside of the clips. so the metal doesn't scratch the bodywork anymore. easy
did you also do some leather patchwork for the area where the zipper sits against the body. has always frustrated me how poorly designed that tonneau was

My Occupational Therapist would have been pleased with me today cutting up inner tubes to make seats for new bonnet clips. Then I find your clever solution and cut some leather circles! Great cheap solution so thanks my therapy is going great!

ok, that's my "spacer". have to get it black powder coated. simple aluminum cylinder with 3 holes in it. it's 45mm high and 60mm in diameter. but the comfort from it is priceless!!!
I had some pare leather samples, just drew around a small aerosol can to make circles about 40mm across. Punched a hole in the centre and applied to tonneau with Copydex. They sit so well now so a truly easy fix that is so practical.
