After having the car up on the lifts for a couple of days waiting for guidance from Suplex / Morgan, last night I got the following checking advice..
We have identified a fault that exists on just some units and then fronts only.
There is a simple test Simply wind the adjuster to fully hard then back off a dozen or more clicks. If the indents/clicks are clearly there, I.E. The adjuster doesn't just rotate then the valve can be assumed to be functioning correctly. If this is repeated several times and the adjusters are clearly functioning then we can assume the units are fine. As a guide we suggest starting with the adjuster thirty clicks back up from full hard.
So, after winding the things backwards and forwards a few times, it seems that mine are OK.
My only concern now is that with the additional fitting of the Empire Racing Geometry Correction Kit the exhaust is sitting less than 10mm from the Suplex - although it looks more due to angle of pics.
That looks too close. Can you loosen off the exhaust system and rotate the tubes a little higher? Any adjustment to increase static ride height would help too.
The exhaust hits the Suplex during a ride with driver only. The issue is down to a combination of change of ride height and a completely different set of dimensions of the Suplex units which are 40mm longer in spring length versus the Spax units.
Bottom eye centre to adjuster ring 55mm on Suplex. Bottom eye centre to collar ring 95mm on Spax.
Anyone have the Suplex Kit with the Morgan Comfort Kit fitted - what clearance are you getting?
