Good evening all,

I will use the best of my rusty English to post a quick introduction. I am French (Sorry for that) and a car enthusiast. After a number of various car, some silver, others red, some yellow, I bought my first British car ten years ago: a Caterham XFlow. I then had a number of other Caterham, HPC, VVC and now a CSR.

I travel frequently to the UK and a few years back, I bought Evo and discovered during the flight back home, the prototype of the Aeromax. I felt in love with the car, but when I call the Morgan factory, I was told it was a one off

Then two years ago, when coming to the office for a meeting, a colleague told me that Morgan was launching a new car, quoting the Sunday telegraph.

So, I decided to postpone the meeting rushed to the phone, called Morgan and place my order for an Aeromax.

The car will be delivered in September smile

Welcome to TM Aeromax and congratulations on your choice - a really great decision. thumbs

I love your story, but the progression from a series of Caterhams to an Aeromax is an interesting one. Please tell us more. tumbleweed

Presumably this is your first Morgan? Are you going to let us know the spec or are you just going to surprise us all. Whatever the the case, we are all very very jealous and applaud your discerning sense of French style. wine wine

Best wishes
Aeroman

Hi Aeromax

Congratulations!

You do realise that you are now obliged to keep us informed during the whole gestation period, with lots of pictures along the way?

Will you be picking the car up from the factory?

Once again ….”rusty English” pah! Puts us (with a few honourable exceptions) to shame.

If you haven't viewed it already, this is worth a look: - AeroMax feature on DR (with videos)

(warning - it may make the wait for your new car even more difficult wink )

Well done aeromax.

Now when in September will you be taking delivery? Will it be in time for the Club Aero 8 meeting?

I'm sure that one of us would be happy to collect it from the factory and deliver it to you, as I'm sure your now making up time on your lost meetings innocent

Thanks for your warm welcome

Why an Aeromax after so many different cars?

well, having had a number of different colours and forms of cars, wether they were Italian or German, they failed to deliver on their promises.

At the end of the day, fast driving on motorways isnt fun at all, and i getting more and more expensive as speed cameras grow everywhere. In the meantime most of these cars aren t great fun to drive on track where the Caterham have been proven to be much more efficient, cheap to run and fun to drive.

The Caterham perfectly fits my bill of a good track day car, which ca be used for afternoon blats as well, and aren t a liability with my mechanic and my banker.

Neverheless, as my children progressively leave the nest (I have four and have been growing them on my own since my wife died when they were young) I have a bit more time to indulge myself with some leisure

I have been toying with the idea of a classic car, but having a very busy life, didn t find any car that was appealing and always feared that such a car wouldn t strat on the button, when I manage the time to drive it. I considered a +8 and drove a few, but they were to crude for my liking.

I was more looking for a long distance cruiser to drive across the globe in style, once I will retire. My project is to drive around the globe with that car, Paris, Beijing, Vancouver, the Horn Cap and back via Africa.

The Morgan is an unique car to do, totally absurb as it is not designed for that purpose, but that is part of the appeal

I won t retire before six years, and would have preferd to buy the car by then, but hey, you only live once and there should be only one run of Aeromax, so I bite the bullet and bought it!

Spec of the car is LHD Sebring grey, sahara leather, auto, and I think I ticked all the box on the order form for all goodies such as, lateral exhaust, paint shield, auto, parking sensor, up graded stereo and the likes. Chassis N°41. Can t remember if LSD was on offer, but if so, tick!

Why an auto? Well for long distance driving, this is better and more relaxing and I intend to keep the car for ever, and when older, auto may enable me to drive an extra year or so before I will be driven for the last time in a very different car.

I visited the factory with three of my children last year, and that was great! At least two of the boys start to like cars, and so does my daughter. When the Max will be ready we plan to go to Malvern and pick it from there. It will be a stylish convoy I guess as a few mates will come along with their exotica, a night in London a nice drive to Malvern and back home the following day

I don t have a firm date for picking the car up and will do it likely end of September or later in October, as I need to accomodate school hollidays to bring the gremlins with me for a couple of days.

My vacation in August will be dedicated to build the garage to accomodate the Max, as other garages are fully loaded with toys already smile

What a great idea t otour the world by Aeromax. I hope you enjoy but as an ex Arfica hand I would point out that most of the roads from the med coast to the RSA border will wreck that beautifull car.

You will need to plan very carefully.
Goods luck
