Both above brilliant. Dave Allen is one of my favourites - immaculate timing and a wicked sense of humour. Why is my spell-checker American?

Graham,
Word is in English (UK) but I don't know the settings for the whole PC. I didn't realise there was one, I thought it was for each individual programme.

A small zoo in Barnsley acquired a very rare species of gorilla. Within a few weeks the gorilla , a female , became very difficult to handle .

Upon examination , the veterinarian determined the problem.

The gorilla was in season and to make matters worse, there was no male gorilla available .

Thinking about the problem, the zoo Keeper thought of Albert Tobytyke, a local lad & part-time worker responsible for cleaning the animal cages.

Albert, like many Barnsley blokes felt he had ample ability to satisfy any female. The Zoo Keeper thought they might have a solution, so Albert was approached with a proposition.

Would he be willing to mate with the gorilla for £500/-?.

Albert showed some interest, said he would think the matter over carefully. The following day, he announced that he would accept their offer, but only under four conditions.

1. "First up", Albert said, " No kissin' on't lips." The keeper quickly agreed to this condition.

2. "Secund", he said , "Tha' can't ever tell anybody abaht this. "The keeper again readily agreed to this condition.

3. "Turd", Albert said, "Ah want all't bairns raised as Barnsley fans." Once again it was agreed.

4. "And last of all", Albert stated, "Tha's got to gi me another week to come up wi' 500 quid".

That makes being in Yormog difficult for me.

Little boy to his dad Q = Dad why do you call Grandad "spider man" ... is it because he swings through the air on his sticky string like cords ... or is it because he helps people by rescuing them and escaping the clutches of the baddies ?

Dad A= Nope its cause he can't get out of the bath !!!

There isn't, however, you can make some software follow the settings of others e.g. Outlook uses Word for composing emails. then a question of whether IE is using Outlook settings... All a bit of a nightmare, particularly when so many PC suppliers install the OS with default settings i.e. USA, rather than changing to UK (or country of PC origin).

Graham,

I build and install my own PCs and software. I try to get everything to UK but you never know when you miss one. I just wonder if it is on the forum itself, after all you are composing on their website. It's just a slight niggle, anyway. BTW I am using Chrome, I prefer it to IE.
