Burgundymog, nice to see you came to God's country to get your Mog (I got mine through Peter as well). A long way for you to come, though?

Yes...left home at 4:00 for trip down to Goodwood. Got as far as Worcester Services, engine management light on, rain pouring in under the dash and my speedo playing up! Argh!! I've had leaks from header rail before but not from under the dash and my first engine management problem. Looks like some water has got on the back of the speedo or the wiring.
Decided to call it a day and come home....what a waste!

Not a good start to the day. I am off to Corfu so hoping for better luck.

Fours hours door to door. Not too bad. The car was well worth the return trip two weeks ago to view and Peter was great, very entertaining.

Yes, he's certainly enthusiastic. The company loan their outdoor area out to various local car groups for a "car sport evening" in July (24th, I think). I'm due to park my Mog there for a few hours to add to the display.

Sounds as if it really wasn't fun!

Standing water seems to set off the engine management light on Aldermog: always the same thing, slow responding lambda sensor on the exit of the cats, most often the near side. I now have an OBDII reader and check and re-set.

Water from under the dash? I suppose the wipers are the most likely route. The rubber seals rounf thewiper shafts on Aldermog are a bit "tired" as are the screen wash ones. Something for the winter as the dash will have to come off I guess.

Lovely 6am commute alongside the Wye this morning. No traffic at all. Then have driven my HST to Weymouth and am now having fish and chip lunch at the seaside. Not a bad morning thumbs

Well I did have to wait for a London Hst and there was a broken signal en route, but no jams to deal with and a 'right time' arrival at Weymouth. And I'm 'on the cushions' on the way back !
