I have just fitted a Safety Devices Roll Bar to my 2012 Plus 4 Supersport and when I came to start the engine afterwards, it would not fire. Also, a number of electrical gremlins appeared at the same time, eg no brake lights, indicators, horn, rear lights etc. I think I may have drilled through some wires when fitting the hoop to the cill board, although the plate was pre-drilled for location, and I would have thought this would have been taken into account at design stage if there are any wires close by. I have not got a fuse diagram for the many fuses in the box in front of the heater box, although I am reluctant to fiddle as I may start an electrical short if I havn't already. I think my only option is to trailer it to my nearest Morgan Dealer and hope they can sort it out. Possibly an expensive conclusion, and I feel somewhat deflated!

Really sorry to read this and sincerely hope I am not insulting your intelligence but if you are not confident with wiring or using a multi meter and fault tracing electrical problems my advice is firstly (and please do this as soon as possible) disconnect your battery red (+) lead at the battery and wrap a rag or similar round it to ensure it does not touch the battery post. Then I am afraid it's off to a dealer or an auto electrician as it sounds like it's something like a mounting plate and or bolt has cut into the harness and closed circuited some wires. If that's happened you have a potential fire risk and the very fact some fuses are blown indicates at least one short to ground. This is not good news for you or your cars safety but rest assured it's not a major job to rectify you just need some basic kit and knowledge of vehicle wiring systems. Some things are OK to have a go at fixing, others it's wiser to bite the bullet and pay a dealer, wiring faults are one of the latter. Good luck.

Couldn't agree more regarding getting a dealer or auto-electrician in.

I'd start with disconnecting the battery and having a look around where the safety frame is fitted.
Does your car have an immobiliser?

Andy- sorry to hear of your troubles. How do you find the Supersports in general? There are a few for sale at the moment and I'm considering an "upgrade" -I think I'm veering more to staying with a 4 cylinder car rather than going down the Roadster route.

JB62. I think its a great car, handles well and revs for ever! I bought mine at the top of the market about 18 months ago and saw prices fall over the following 12 months. They seem to have flattened out at the mid 40,s. I did pit it on the market about a year ago and received some rather low offers. Since then I decided to keep it and love it! My previous Morgan was an older Plus 8 and this is faster, easier to drive on longer journeys and more economical. Thanks for your suggestions, I will keep you informed of outcome. Best wishes.

Not sure exactly where the mounting plates are for your roll over bar, but there is a VERY good chance you have trapped or damaged the look going to the rear of the car. I do my own wiring repairs, but then I have no problem working on such things, however, as Colin (S-J) says, if you aren't confident, let a dealer or auto electrician do it. It's very easy to end up with a burned out wreck...

I believe the loom does go down Drivers side of car. Car has now been transported to Southport, as I think this a job for the experts.
Does anyone have a fuse diagram for this car. I never received a card showing which is which and there appear to be quite a few in front of the heater box!

You can get the wiring diagrams from GoMoG.
