Fedder is near St Austell, and has already spoken to both Melvyn Rutter and Brands Hatch Morgan

This is an urgent call from a proud MORGAN Plus 4 owner from Hannover, Germany, who is currently on holiday in the south of the UK.

Yes, my wife and me, we like our MORGAN very much, but at the moment we have some trouble with the car and are in urgent need of a spare part, which isn't available either at the factory nor at MORGAN garages, which I've
asked :

Details: the car is a 1996 Plus 4 with the Rover T 16 engine.

Those of you, who know the T 16 engine will remember that at the bottom of the left side of the engine, in front of the water pump, there is a "dummy steering pump", which drives the waterpump. This dummy is the item I'm looking for urgently,
as it stopped working propperly, making rattling and squeeky noises. I'm afraid, it won't last, till we're back in Germany.---and if it breaks, the waterpump won't pump any more

I would appreciate it very much if you could help me in this matter e.g. by passing my email to yr friends and members, asking them if someone might have this spare part (e.g. an old one, repaired?) and would kindly send it
to me (address will be given).

I will have my dummy pump repaired when I'm back in Germany, and then pass the "borrowed one" immediarely back t the donor.

If hopefully there will be someone, who can help us, please contact:

Phone : 0049 172 6416161 or 0049 171 9457973

email: F.Nielsen@gmx.net

By the way, we've planned to stay in GB until 2nd or 3rd june. so if we are successful, it should be built in next week.

Thank you so much and kind regards

Fedder Nielsen

And they will know of local Tinmog members who could possibly help, in event of Perranwell not having the parts.

Truthfully, I suspect he has already tried them, but in case not, I've sent him an email.

Don't know, but I've emailed it to him as he's not far from a branch and they are open tomorrow despite it being a bank holiday.

Not quite sure from the intro which part is required, but Rimmer Bros came up with several options in stock when I Googled Rover T16 water pump. They have stocked Rover/Triumph/Land Rover parts for many years. Might be worth giving them a call ? Usual disclaimers.

Not sure if Fedder is looking at this, but I've emailed it to him in case. Hopefully he has sorted something out by now, or will shortly.

Fedder has now solved his problem with help from Melvyn Rutter and his staff.

Consider yourselves thanked and he promises to help any Morganists who run into a similar situation in Germany.
