All I can say is that I am lucky that I don't live in the UK. I could be seriously interested.

I wonder what the cost of conversion to a left hooker would be idea

I looked at it too, am actively looking for a 3.0 Roadster but Cat D and quite so many mods put me off. However, someone less risk averse will get a super car.

THe 4k price drop shows the market concern. It has been on sale since before November. That put me off given the trade in offered was just short of 3k less than I got buying a younger standard car with half the mileage and no crash damage, but at 4k less I might have been tempted.

That is very close to my ideal Mog except for the "modern" hood (and RHD)!
Future owner will be very lucky and happy!.

If you like it I'd try offering £4K less.
I'm VERY sure negotiation is possible....
They WANT it sold...

I have just looked at the pics again. That light grey interior is simply amazing with dark blue piping. I wonder how much it would cost to re-upholster Aldermog...

I also went through the MulFab website and priced everything added to the car. The new price of the bits is close 50% of the price of the car....!

Tim would give you very good advice...

4k Peter? A bargaining point I suppose. I'm wondering why Peter moved it on...

I agree with Graham's comment about Tim.
I suspect that he has forgotten more about Morgans than I have ever known.

It's my guess that the car will be bought by a Morgan owner.
The CatD issue is playing a part but not to the extent it would for a bog standard run of the mill car, due to the Peter Mulberry factor in the re-build.
Remember the Plus4 from Wheeler Dealers?
Granted that was not a CatD but would it have become one due to the rotten chassis?
The buying price @£14k reflected that and resale at £20k+ matched too
CatD stigma will stick but to a lesser extent than normal- probably!
My only reservations would be about long term spares etc for the mods done, mainly suspension.
Having said that, when I was looking to move up from my4/4 I looked at Roadsters / +8 and if I was still there I would be severely tempted!
Modifying cars seldom, if ever, increases value but can hold value....
How many of us have "mods" - Suplex/dampers/brakes/ lights/ pan hard/ centralising kit for rear.....the list goes on! (DaveW has done some great stuff)
An insurance quote would be interesting with the mods! But then, a Morgan specialist insurer would be " in the know " unlike the mainstream people who may not know what a Morgan was and the background to Peter Mulberry.

This crossed my mind. Seems a good deal to me and given the provenance I would be less concerned about the Cat D.

I guess any of the modifications can be reversed.
