+1 I bought Dunlops as they are B rated in the wet and A on noise. So far so good.

Thanks Hugh. Yes damage very significant I'm afraid. Will visit Williams tomorrow.
John - yes I suspect a diesel spill too - it was 30 yards from roundabout and only 3/4 throttle (ie not really pressing it). Tyres maybe 5,000 miles old - fitted in Jan, loads of tread left.
And d'ya know, my life DIDN'T flash before me - I just thought "oh, this is going to hurt" - and then it didn't, so I'm really happy about that.
Jeremy Jeremy, I've only just picked this up....so sorry but relieved that only Henrietta is hurt, not you. With newish rubber it can only be diesel...just think what would have happened if you'd been on a bike! Another vote for Dunlops here, but I also thin Wiltshire Avons are good in the wet...as long as they are not bald. (Ask my son)

I will not have an etf (est time of fix) until midweek but Mike thinks Combe Track Day is "optimistic" (that's July 16th), so I'm mentally pencilling 1st August (a Friday, so gives me the weekend to get reacquainted).
ALL - I think that Dunlops will not fit the narrow Sport wheels, so Vreidsteins will be chosen. And damp roundabouts will be viewed with utmost suspicion.

Went to Allon Whites for the Mulfab sump fitting.
Nice tp down drive there and back.
