Rogmog, I've just looked at your options, is there anything that you've not ticked on the option list(apart from full width bumpers)

still here....just been driving it instead of talking about it (you know I'm lying....the weather's been too crap!!)

Anyway...off to the alps soon...trouble is there are too many hangers on to take the Mog! Stopping off in Burgundy on the way and Champagne on the way back might just make up for it though...especially when it come to cargo capacity

Not a lot! I didn't go for:

- Aircon
- Battery conditioner
- Hard Top
- Bonnet strap
- Paint protective film

I had just about everything else !

I have the same problem when I'm out n about....trouble is they're all over sixty and require a team of medics to remove them from the wing

A couple of observations on the extras as I have a 2005 Roadster.

Unless you intend to keep it below about 40mph or only want to listen when you are parked I wouldn't bother with a radio , its about as much use as a 'chocolate fireguard'. It also saves having holes for the ariel and speakers.

I use an IPod, with a splitter if two are in the car.

As for the 'loud exhuast' listen to a few before buying one. I have one on mine (MacDonald Racing) which is great when you are up and down the gears and having a blast. On a M Way it 'drones' at 70mph which is 3000rpm in 5th and can be a pain. I think the latest ones have a taller 5th gear so it may be less of a problem.

Congratulations, Roger The Roadster is a wonderful car.

As far as it goes for the "loud exhaust" I'm entirely with Andyman. The original sounds good, and gets even better with the time. Now, after 10 months since new, and 10000 km, the sound is perfect at any speed.

Mine had the sports exhaust when I bought it , but I have the original which I'm going to fit to see what it sounds like.

The sound on mine definately comes alive once you get past 4000rpm when she realy starts to motor

You might want to rethink the protective film , the front end presents a nice target for stones I'm thinking of have some fitted to mine

The battery conditioner is a good idea for winter , some of the best drives I had this year were in Jan/feb so knowing she will start when you want to is a plus.

My 4/4 is a 25 year old CVH engine, so a little different to yours, but I have the standard resonator box, still sounds good but great for longer runs with SWMBO.

But I also have a straight through tail pipe for when I'm feeling laddish (some would say loutish) and with this on...it roars!!! I think it improves performance also...but no proof.

its literally a 5 minute job to switch them over with the added benefit that you can really get them clean and shiny whilst off the car.

I think that the "sports" exhaust that is fitted by the factory is not exceptionally load, and the dealer that I'm buying through suggested not altering the exhaust until the warranty period is over, as the factory may not be very happy if I need repairs under warranty and the car has been modified.
