Yup, despite all the hype about the 2014 models and the positivity, I've limped home from France this weekend after a superb week away.

Just over 2000 miles up & I've got a horrendous screeching from the back end when the throttle is backed off along with a milder version whilst under load on taking up the drive from a standstill, an oil leak from the back of the engine and a misfire from the engine.

This all happened about three days from the UK & despite much poking & prodding under the black depths of the rear end with a torch in hotel car parks, there's nothing immediately obvious but I was very wary of driving in case that wheel seizes & locks that tyre.

Ah well, back home now & I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed under warranty. Rang the dealer to get it booked in & despite making notes, they aren't able to look at it until SIX WEEKS TIME!! That's at least three events I've already booked up between now and then, including Thrill on the Hill, that I've now got to either waste my money on by not showing, or trying to get a refund.

What a quality product from an award winning dealer. doh

That's a terrible shame Steve. My thoughts are with you, all I can add is at least your home safe mate. Fingers crossed for a cancelled booking and a speedy repair.

Is it parts causing the delay? I ordered some parts from my dealer in the USA and its been 5 weeks and no sign of anything. Word is the head parts guy quit and their ability to perform and execute just fell by the wayside.

Being a Morgan owner is a trial of patience.

That is what makes it worse for me - not being able to participate in planned events. Lucky that nothing failed in a big way like GreyGoose

Good luck Steve,

It may not be as bad as you fear. Is there no one local to you that could give it an optical bollocking?

Six weeks for a dealer to look at your new Mog, that you purchased from them, is unacceptable in my opinion. Are they working to get your Moggie in sooner?

I'd take it up with factory directly. They have been very helpful and pro-active in my case.

This is not good at all. The "NEW" 2014 M3W sounded like it hoped to resolve many of the problems of the first version and improve quality.
Judging by this and other posts may be there is still a way to go.
As an active Morgan participant I am starting to get questions from interested buyers downunder who are asking what to expect of the Australian version if it gets approval.
Quality, service and backup seem to be the main concerns.

Think the dealer may need reality explained to him.
A fault is one thing - but not getting a customer's recent purchase to the head of the workshop queue is unacceptable.
Good luck with getting it sorted out.
