Calum I fitted the back ones and had a very similar ride experience, tried to adjust them and they failed the click test. Took them off and wrote to Morgan who just forwarded my mail to Suplex. Suggest you write to Dan.White@Suplex.com with your comments. Having, like you, paid £1600 for something that failed, I'm becoming increasingly concerned that these have not been adequately tested at any level. Given the issues you've had at the front with the comfort kit fitted in terms of exhaust clearance (as I've had along with others who have fitted the Empire Kit) then I find the instruction booklet rather ironic. I'm giving Dan White time to resolve the issues and any supporting experiences from you and other users can only help to give us the product we thought we'd paid for.
Thanks I'll certainly fire off an email to Dan, see what he says. I haven't had a proper look at the Empire kit so can only guess that what little clearance there is between the adjuster collars and the exhausts is reduced compared to the standard wishbone arrangement. Having said that, the front really is good at the preload settings that I used out of basic pragmatism.
Still no comments from PJB ...... he spent a lot of time explaining the benefits of Suplex over the standard shocks or the Spax adjustables , and convinced me they were properly developed and the ultimate solution , at a very high price . We then get a batch that don't work , followed by these problematical rear ones .
Hmm , at least you are pleased with the front Calum . It'll be interesting to see what Dan White has to say .
I'm not sure if the factory have got round to fitting mine yet , but I'm begining to wonder if I made the right choice .
I'm quite concerned about the exhaust interference with the updated Suplex springs, which are longer than the originals, which stop above the level of the exhaust pipes.
I've spoken to Bill at Empire about this, and as I thought, fitting his kit does not in any way change either the ride height or the angle of the shock absorbers, so I am at a loss to understand why this is happening.
Any comments or observations would be appreciated.
Just fired off an e-mail(my 2nd) to Mark at Aero racing and Dan at Suplex to see if they are going to have a fix for Empire Racing Kit to work correctly with the Suplex front shock or will we have to modify our header pipe to be able to benefit from the better riding Suplex shock?

I have the Empire Kit and Suplex installed currently, and have limited clearance between the shocks and headers. However, the fenders will also hit the headers when at full stop (on my setup). This is leading me to just have custom cat-less headers made and ceramic coated vs. waiting (and paying) to correct the shocks. Does anyone else have fenders hitting the headers?
tell us more tide! i really want to know more about your header/exhaust setup. have you installed the empire yet?

Blake, you are welcome to come down the peninsula and of course check it out in person. I haven't done any header work yet, my rough plan is to remove the fenders and replace the tires with Blockley Racing 400x19.
Attaching photos of the clearances I think most people with this setup are concerned over.
Hi Guys, some of you may remember that I am on my 2nd Three Wheeler. The first one, made in May 2012, did have problems with the fenders hitting the headers on full lock, the current one, made exactly a year later doesn't. I have put that down to the fact that there are slightly larger spacers on the steering rack. If you take the rubber gator off the rack, you will see a plastic spacer, which is there to stop the fenders getting too close to the exhaust on full lock. If you find it a nuisance, just use a thicker spacer.
As far as the Suplex kit is concerned, I can only put it down to the fact that the springs are much longer, so come closer to the exhaust. It must happen on the standard suspension as well as the Empire modded ones. Has anyone with a standard car upgraded to Suplex yet and can confirm that?
