Just got my M3W back from the factory following a series of planned updates. I took it for a 20 mile spin and my initial impression is that the car is totally transformed - the 2 key changes being the comfort kit and centra drive compensator.
The car is now an absolute joy to drive on even the most appalling minor roads that surround where I live - no rattling and no writhing steering wheel...what a terrific car it now is since the 2 key annoyances have disappeared.
I'm really looking forward to a good drive this weekend

Well done you! I've no experience of a pre-14 drive, but I can concur that the newer setup is a lovely drive.

I think I could use a 'Comfort Kit' on my 4 Wheelers . . .

MarkB,
For your 4 wheelers it does exist!!!-- it is the Suplex front suspension upgrade - totally changes the way the car handles bumpy corners, sorts out the "nodding dog" and lightens the steering at slower speed.

A brilliant upgrade. No connection to Suplex, just a very happy customer.

Cheers!

I noticed an immediate change on comfort kit.

I like the cooling fan in traffic during present hot weather.

The NVH IMHO does nothing.

Have now done 200 miles in the past 2 days and I've thrown every road surface imaginable at the comfort kit - it is a complete transformation - even the bumpiest surfaces where the front wheels are hopping up and down don't translate through to the steering wheel anymore. 10/10 for the comfort kit and highly recommended.

Likewise the Centa drive compensator has irradicated the death rattle - there is perhaps a little more driveline vibration at just under 3000RPM but it's a small price to pay. It's just great, after more than 2 years of ownership to finally get rid of that rattle!

Cooling fan seems sensible, particularly in this weather. I didn't bother with the NVH pack as the bevel box noise doesn't bother me that much, and I really don't want to add more weight to the car.

I've also changed the pedal box to the later type, which by re drilling some new holes further to the right has allowed me to takes the pedal box another 2" forward. At 6'4" this has made a fantastic difference to the overall comfort..

So overall I'm very, very pleased with the updates. If you only do one, and you drive on poor road surfaces, then I'd go for the comfort kit

I get considerabley more vibration at just below 3000 with the centa compensator.
As long as it's doing no damage I can also live with it.
