Hi all,

Been a Morgan fan for a while but never owned one. Always lusted after an eighties +8 but after attending the show in London came away smitten by the new 4/4 Sport. What a gorgeous car it is.

Ticks a lot of boxes for me in so far as it looks almost completely in period yet with modern mechanicals. I currently own a Elan DHC S4, an MGA and a Healey 100 in more pieces than I care to count!!

Would be interested to hear any opinions on the car, or see any photo's. Especially a good side on photo of the car shown at Geneva. I have to say the only disappointing thing for me is that I can't get this car with a 2.0l Duratec, but I'm sure the 1.6 will take a bit of tuning!

Cheers,
Neil

Hi Neil, I too saw it at the show for the first time and thought it was stunning!

I cant say too much except that two of the senior MMC guyson the stand told me they had/will order one which speaks volumes. I was also told that 200bhp was very achievable out of that engine smile

Good luck and keep us posted.

Cheers

Neil

I have ordered a 44 sport in black for a Jan delivery so I have been gathering info on the car for a few months. As far as I am aware only the black and gray versions are built at this time for display although a member of this forum is due to collect a green version this August, which must be one of the first production vehicles. If you look back to the article new 44 sport you will see the posts on this and I am sure we will see pics soon of the green version.
A couple of things you might be interested in is that it will come with the sports reclining seats as standard, the factory advised me of this and on Morgans own website under "extras" sub heading "morgan season" click on London motor show and there is some nice pics of the black version. Maybe you took some yourself at the show, nice to see them

hello all,

i saw this at the show as well and looks really smart. good level of kit etc and the 1.6 on my 1990 4/4 makes it a nice nippy car so these should be excellent.

Be interesting to have a drive once they start leaving Malvern. Hope the wait isn't too long Neil!!

iain

You were wanting a side on image of the 44 sport at Geneva. If you go on the MMC website on "Extras" photo gallery there is the gray version outside Lloyds of London with the hood up. This is the best pic I have seen of the car.
Now that red is available I would like to see that version, red with black wheels and hood, sounds good. Hopefully these will start to appear soon.
yours
Dave
