I bet that is a scary thing to drive. My Moto Guzzi Le Mans was brilliant on 2 wheels but supercharged & on 3 wheels!!

I remembered that the Telegraph Motoring correspondent was supposed to be building a Triking , I don't know if he ever finished it and the search facility on the newspaper does not show up an article that he did. frown

I know that the owner of Triking - Tony Divey had a heart-attack a couple of years ago and the business was up for sale (yes, I was nearly tempted, but good sense prevailed on that occasion) but the company web-site has now disappeared so I don't know the current status of the business. confused2

It would be a shame if it is no longer in existence...

I like Three-Wheelers a lot. Morgan should resurrect them and I've written to the factory to tell them so. I mean how much fun would a car like that be? At the end of the day, it's all down to power-to-weight ratio after all. If you put a small engine in a car that weighs three fifths of sod-all with minimal rolling resistance you could potentially wipe out a Lambo in a straight drag. Or maybe even an Aeromax (heh, heh!).

And let's face it, who is better qualified to produce a car like that than Morgan? Most of those strange eco-cars that are appearing now are little more than novelties in most peoples' eyes. Now a MORGAN 3-Wheeler would be a different matter: potentially an eco-car with real performance which you'd have to take seriously.

Or am I just being old?

There have been rumours for some considerable that MMC were intending to build a three-wheeler and this has always been denied by the company. However, at the briefing on the Centenary programme held at the Mog 2008 event by some representatives from the company, the question of a trike being available in the Centenary year was mentioned, but no further details were given.

I have not followed up since then, but maybe your letter will elicit a positive reply. Let's hope so... cheers

IT would be fantstic, though the cost of creating a type approved vehicle these days is very high. The costs of the Aero8 development were considerable for Morgan, and I can't see the company looking to spend similar money to develop a new chassis for what is likely to be an even lower volume than the Aero 8..

Still you never know!

Ideal for an electric vehicle maybe. But better still with a good old Italian MG twin.
