Hello, you lot. I've just signed up to this website of yours. I've always quite liked Morgans (even visited the factory) but never enough to open the proverbial 'glued-shut' wallet. One look at the 4/4 Sport at the London Motor Show changed all that though. I found the car absolutely beguiling; far nicer than any Morgan I've ever seen before - and I'm not the only one of my circle who thinks that either. I'm now working all the hours God sends to get the dosh together for the deposit. The only thing up in the air as it were is what colour to choose. The green looks good (shades of pre-war Le Mans Bentleys) and, strangely enough, I like the grey as well. I've got a feeling that the 4/4 Sport will have the same effect on other people that it has had on me and that it could turn out to be a real money-spinner for the factory.

Mark, welcome and keep us posted on the progress. I agree the 4/4 sport is one nice car. Please though be warned that the grin Morgans induce upon driving them is addictive. John

Welcome Mark The Sport seems to be a real hit with customers (new and old alike) both in terms of the styling and performance. The frugal nature of the car is an added bonus with fuel prices climbing ever skyward! There are some excellent photographs of the Morgan 4/4 Sport 1.6 on this thread . (Just in case you missed them).

I hadn't seen the grey one in the flesh. The pic outside Lloyds is now the wallpaper on my computer. It has a real 1950s look about it which I like (probably 'cos I'm over 50!).
Another reason I like it is that I'm a miserable tree-hugging greenie but see absolutely no reason why I can't still be a petrol-head.

Mark, you can relax Morgans are greener than the Prius http://www.automobilesdeluxe.tv/why-morgans-are-green/John

I know about the Prius thing. But, then again, the Prius isn't a particularly green car anyway. As I understand it, you can't recharge it from the mains so its power has to come from somewhere. Yep, you guessed it - good old fossil fuel!
Also, the Prius is built in a factory which requires a bloody great power station to keep it going day and night and how green is that? If you want to be truly green you get your car built in a factory where the biggest power draws are the room lighting and the microwave that the women in the canteen use to heat the lads' lunches!

Sorry, and I know this is a very un-PC thing to say in this day and age, but I've just realised that the 4/4 Sport in that pic outside Lloyds would look great with a pair of Vickers K machine guns on the bonnet (a la Sopwith Camel).
Am I the only person who likes this idea? And has anyone seen any wheel-clampers lately?
Just a thought....
