Thursday a delightful run from Salisbury to the Blue Viney Pub Puddletown to meet up with LogMog for some good food and Mogchat.
A nice 80 mile round trip, the return hood down in as dusk turned to dark. I really enjoy driving topless at night, there is something magical about it, especially if the moon and stars are out.
The run out was in the rain: Aldermog remained internally dry, but externally is filthy. Again.
I'm running out of insured miles, I set 5000 as the annual total and with 2 months to go I've got just over 1000 left: the Thrill on the Hill and Shuttleworth weekends will see that eaten up in a trice. I may have to re-insure a few weeks early!!

You should be able to increase the mileage for a small fee. I had this one year on my Merc & I think Tesco charged me something silly like £15.
I also agree top down at ight is great. I love the smell of the flowers etc

This guy had a bad day - no other info - image via Facebook I have heard that some Morgan's have trouble with a little water getting in to the car.

Had to get mine out today whether it liked it or not. Thunder, lightning and absolutely persisting it down, I apologised for having to do it but the MOT was booked and I couldn't postpone it.
I think it was only the second time I've ever fitted the full hood, but it was too extreme for hat and half tonneau, even for 2 miles.
I hate taking cars for MOTs and would much rather visit the dentist - unless it's the Mog.
Clean sheet, tucked away and leathered off now.

I heard that some Morgan's have trouble with a little water getting in to the car. But that's a little car getting into the water. We like to do things differently.

Wasn't that during Assen last year...? As for my drive last week, as I've already been spotted on the way back from the Highlands... Over 1500 miles, not done a final fill / fuel / mileage calculation (my odometer seems to read slightly low compared to SatNav distance). Best fuel consumption nearly 40mpg, generally around the mid-30s, but probably low 30s for final run home on Sunday... Fuel consumption pretty similar to the old X-flow 4/4 - but maybe the pace was a little higher! Bugs - yes Mogs collect loads, I doubt that our group has done much to the midge population though

Finally got out this morning for a quick loop in the Series 1 DHC. The weather has turned to crap with an off shore storm bringing in rain in the morning, when we usually only get rain after the heat of the day. Put my schedule off. I did however feel good after the loop. I had spent some 6 hours adjusting and readjusting my brakes and I had none and now I have some. Some is better than none. (A quote from my dogs . . .)
Also took the Plus 8 out and got it warmed up. Changed the oil and filter and wanted it to slosh around a bit.
Good in the wet, but better in the dry . . .

2nd day driven to work, left 6:30 am and lovely quiet road, lots of fun down to Sidmouth on the bendy A3052, lovely drive home in the sunshine. Tomorrow beckons
