I hope this is an exception.

My brakes would pull to the right as I applied them so I read all the posts here.
1)Checked and made sure there was no air in the lines.
2)Checked the run out on the disks.
3)Decided to swap the pads from right wheel to left, so looked at the M3 and came to the conclusion that I could remove and replace the pads with the wheels still on and have better access if I took out the fenders\mudguards.
Took the bolts holding the support bar from the tie rod to fender off and that support bar fell loosely. I looked at the nyloc nut and it was visually about a 1/4" loose.
Shook the tie rod and it was clearly moving. I tightened the bolt took the M3 for a road test and perfect. Also the wondering that I thought was the nature of the beast has gone.
This is concerning as to why the bolt was loose, hopefully no one else's is.

Of great interest to me, because my brakes are indeed pulling to the right, and getting worse, so am off to the garage to check my nylocs....

These bolts need to be tightened regularly. If a tie rod goes a little loose it would impact the toe of one wheel and this could then explain why your car was veering when braking?

Yes, it would. Sadly, having checked my nylocs, they are both tight, so this is not the cause for me. Onwards and upwards then..........

By the way, when bleeding brakes, does one start from the wheel furthest from the master cylinder or closest - it must be old age creeping on?

If it's a US 4 wheel car, I always do R REAR, L REAR, R FRONT and finish with the L FRONT.

Short answer is yes, furthest to closest.

There was no excuse for the bolt to be that loose at an extremely low milage, someone screwed up somewhere.

Depending on which State you are in, it is possible to get a Seven kit imported, as long as you source the engine in the States, I believe.

BTW, the little picture is not actually my car, it was chosen frm the standard list of avatars, I have a suspicion it is actually a Westfield! Mine is an all yellow CSR.
