I was thinking of buying a hard top for mabye using the car in the winter, could anyone tell me what happens to the convertible roof, do you have to remove it, how long does it take to fit and remove the hardtop and is it a worthwhile purchase.

Scottie, I have only ever seen one on an Aero (probably because it is such an expensive option) and that was on Andrew's car: -  I personally love the look and am also considering one for my next Aero. My understanding is that they fit over the open soft top, can be dropped into place by two people and as long as the brackets are present on the rear of the car (above the boot), are easy to clip into place. However, perhaps someone with first hand experience can confirm the above.

you're all a bunch of fairies... How will you take in that crisp winter sunny day with your fancy hardtops?  BtG Ps I think Andrews car looks fabulous with his hardtop on  still for fairies though

Buddy, I'm still waiting for those days in the summer, let alone the winter!  In fairness, if we ever do start to see those rare days where sunlight prevails over dreariness, I can understand what you are saying; however, for my part, I'd like to use the Aero a lot more year round and I feel the hardtop will make this more enjoyable in the bleak winter months. I also feel that the hardtop changes the feel of the car (aesthetically) and I personally like it - almost like a mini AeroMax but with the option to remove the roof.

I am with Simon, I like the practicality of using the car (almost) daily in the winter and I also think the look is very pleasing aesthetically. The same way I prefer the look of the BMW Z4 coupe over the convertible with the difference that you cannot switch one for the other with the BMW whereas you can with the Aero.

Did you know the factory could duplicate GT3 hard top?  As I'm not 6'4, I could afford to lose a couple of inches for the lower profile roofline and it would certainly make the Aero much more purposeful Its the one I'd go for, should I decides to keep my Aero  Was going to keep it for myself, but never mind, coz I'm generous
