Good review. At least they stuck with the experience of driving the damn thing.

It's possible, but I would doubt the M3W actually puts down 116 hp to the rear wheel. Based on cam specs and other articles I've read, it's probably a crank dyno spec, not a rear wheel dyno spec.

But either way, it does a great job of motivating one down the road and as you guys have often said, it exceeds the limits of the rear tire. So how much more could you realistically use?

I get the magazine and read the article there. It was more of a journey report than a car review, but they did enjoy the car a lot. I think everyone that has reviewed the car as well as you owners all agree that it's smiles per mile, not actual performance that's the key to this car's success.

Mine too - they could be heard even above the noise of the engine, etc, etc, while I was wearing helmet and earplugs. The wear rate indicates that the saying "A squealing tyre is a happy tyre" does not hold true in all cases. I am looking forward to seeing if the Blockleys make as much noise.

You can hear the noise mine make in the video I posted on the 23rd June in the New Videos thread.

(Sorry, I don't know how to link to that from here)

Weight testing for taxation purposes in the UK I think is done dry. No driver, no petrol, no oil etc.

Could be wrong though!

I am somewhat bemused by all this number crunching and trying to extract meaning from them. My other hobby involves the building of amplifiers using vacuum tubes (valves) since, to my ears, they sound better. I have various friends who can quote me total wattage, distortion ratings, slew factors and the like, in order to "prove" that their solid state gear is 'better'. All well and good. Then I plop them down in the listening spot and crank up my gear and their jaws drop in amazement!

At some level in the human experience the numbers mean nothing but the experience does.

This happens in the Morgan every time I "Push the button!"

Don't care how fast it could go, don't care how quick it can do it. Just want to drive...

EXACTLY!!!!

Couldn't agree more.

I think this is where many people express disappointment with the 3W because they don't understand the intangible aspect of it.

I truly believe this is what Morgan was shooting for with the 3W. Not a drag car, canyon carver or weekend track car.

Reminds me of an old saying, "If you don't get it..... I wouldn't be able to explain it to you"

IMHO my expressions of disappointment are nothing to do with not understanding the "intangible aspect of it".

Spending a lot of money on a vehicle which is not reliable is hard to suffer
