Just got back from this - drove back 90 miles top down in T-shirt - not often you can say that in this country!.
A great day - did not fluff gears on the hill this year! Good smooth organisation and a fantastic atmosphere. More Morgans than you could shake a stick at. I had thought it a bit pricey - but I`m glad I went. Incidentally - I think Shelsey must have the best food of any racetrack in the country - better than a lot of restaurant / pub meals I have had & great value.
Good to meet so many TMers there as well as other Morgan type friends.

Ace day out!

Great to soak up that quintessential 'Englishness' that Shelsley engenders, and a lovely day bumping into friends old & new before squealing the tyres on the hill start. So nice to be able to have a very laid back day in a unique car, long live the M3W.

Couldn't agree more. Just finished a nice dinner with Malvern wine bought at Shelsley over which SWMBO and I commented how English the event was, Elgar countryside, heroic spitfires, English sports cars, the whole business. Not much gets better. englandwave

I thought the event itself more slick than last year and better for it. I met ' in the flesh ' several TMers and confirmed my view that Morganeers are probably the friendliest and community minded group I've ever had the pleasure of being part of. cheers

Sorry to have missed it this year. For us it was impossible to do Le Mans and Thrill on the Hill. Also we are off to Caramulo on the 30th of August for the Caramulo Motorfestival and to cheer on MarioCP. We really love Portugal and are quite looking forward to it.

If Morgan decides to repeat Thrill on the Hill next year we would probably choose that instead of Le Mans. Much as we enjoyed the experience of Le Mans we found it just a little too much for our liking and really prefer smaller events. Having said that they expect 30,000 people to attend Caramulo.

has anybody had chance to read the '100years of production @ Pickersleigh road' booklet given out at thrill on the hill? and I assume the celebrations at the factory today

Charles Morgan appears to have been excised from Morgan history! For better or worse he was a key player in development of the aero 8 and new 3W models. Don't know the ins and outs of his ousting but to produce this booklet with pieces by non executive director family members you have never heard of is a bit like the stalinist era when executed members of the politburo were cut out of official photographs

Yes excellent souvenir but the same thought crossed my mind. Who is this person and what have they achieved in the history of Morgan production.

Hi Peter

I was hoping you might be there again, we had a great chat last year. I am hoping to persuade Sue that 2015 in September a drive down through France and over Alps to Lake Como and Garda would be a lovely holiday trip. Maybe if my plans come together we could meet up then.

cheers
