I think "Caveat Emptor" is justifiable if you are buying from EBay or "Arthur Daley" , but surely not when buying from one of the oldest motor company's in the World !

When I buy a new car I don't normally ask , "does it let water in?" , "will the paint bubble inside a couple of years?" , "will the transmission last more than 1000 miles?, "will the engine fall apart before the first service?"

I know the big boys can get it wrong too , eg Porsche GT3 engine problems but my understanding is owners were offered curtesy cars , compensation etc

Am I correct in assuming that you sell cars for a living?

In answer to Digimap, of course you would have to be an enthusiast to buy an M3W. it is not a car for the masses but one aimed at a very niche market of people who do not mind spending £30k+ on a car with no hood or windscreen but buy it for the sheer fun of driving.
If this needs explaining to anyone then they will probably never understand it.

The buyers do not however expect to be paying that sort of money to a well respected and long established manufacturer, for a car that has not had all the bugs ironed out of it.
Neither do we expect to be an unpaid part of Morgan's development team.
It is a good job that a large number of M3W buyers are ex motorcyclists because they will at least have some technical know-how to get over the problems.

I do not agree that buying an M3W is like buying a house, because when you buy a house you would employ an expert (i.e. a surveyor) to examine the property and write a report informing you of all the defects (i.e. wet rot etc.) and you would have recourse on them if you subsequently found a problem they had not listed in their report.

What also concerns me is that the resale value of these early cars may end up being considerably less than originally expected if all the problems become common knowledge within the motoring fraternity.

2 years ago my dealer refuse to sell me a m3w .He didnt want to

see me every week.Now i am still waiting to see if the m3w 2014

has all problems fixed or not .

You clearly have no sympathy with us that parted with our hard earned cash and believe we were gullible.

I cannot believe your views and you have never even seen one.

I feel for every M3W owner who has problems, it's not what you expect when paying a premium price for something. I was lucky that having moved back to South Yorkshire the condition of our "tracks" (the local authorities would have us believe are paved roads) put me off purchasing one as it would be impossible avoiding pot holes in a 3 wheeler.

When I first started posting my "observations " about bump steer , bent wishbones etc a while ago , I was pretty agressively jumped on by the BSDs ( bump steer deniers ) and other Morgan apologists , some of whom had never even sat in a threewheeler , they all seem strangely quiet now ......
