If that was true, it would be a blow to michel(and all those who placed an oder), and an even bigger blow to MMC!!!

May be Simon could check with the factory ?

Just spoke to my dealer. Things seem to be in a state of flux. As of now it looks like my manufacture date of feb 09 would be pushed to may 09 with delivery the following fall instead of may 09. That's a bummer.I would get a 2010 model instead of a 2009. But it still has to be confirmed. I asked them to keep me informed. If any of you guys know more about the situation (Simon?) I would appreciate hearing from you.

Reading mogwire does this also mean that full allocation of aeromax's has not been sold.

Out of interest does anyone known if the aeromax will be subject to the SVA or some other form of approval?

The Aeromax will be coming into the USA on the Show and Display rules. This allows an individual ruling on a car instead of relying on vehicle homologation to US standards. I hope that answers your question? cheers

OK, how about a group buy Aeromax? 4 of us, 13 weeks each a year in some agreeable division, or how about 12 of us? £10k each would leave a bit for the insurance and the yearly servicing, we each get a week in each of the seasons, the other 4 weeks would be service and rest time!

Thinking out loud, we could be a car club with 12 equal shareholders and the car club would be the registered owner. Get a legal agreement drawn up about what happensin the event of someone wanting to bail out.

Whilst in theory this makes sense Shooter and fractional ownership is becoming increasingly popular for houses, artwork, yachts, etc, I think with a car it is fraught with potential pitfalls. innocent

Firstly, how do you get 12 individuals with the same view of how such a car should be used, and what happens when one of the guys kerbs a wheel?

Is it a garage queen, or what would the policy be on mileage - would there be an additional charge for this as otherwise how would you equate the ownership experience?

It may work with a smaller number of 'owners', but the basic difficulties are still there imho. Maybe you have thought through these issues and have a solution for them, in which case please tell us more. coffee

Don't get me wrong, I'd love the 'use' of an Aeromax, but i couldn't face arguing with you all over who got to take it to St Tropez! wink

In addition for me, part of the ownership experience is the 'random' drive, that opportunity to take the special car on a whim, whether it's a sunny winters morning blat, or a late summer evening station pickup. Fractional ownership pretty much precludes these events, and for me they can often be some of the defining memories of owning something special.
