Our youngest son is 17 and was driving up Shelsley on Saturday. He now wants a Morgan and I did wonder why there was a pile of banana skins and a trip wire positioned on the staircase!

It was the early 1970s I would be about 21-22 went with a mate to John MacDonalds back Sanderson Road Newcastle On Tyne . He had a Gilburn Invader estate for sale. To late it was sold he tried to flog me a yellow mog 4/4 I think with the bladder cushions . I looked at him as though he was mad an old cronk for a car no way . I was a young man what woman will look at me in that went threw my head . If I had only known then what I know now. Also I would freeze must have been a softie then . thumbs

Sorry for spotting this belatedly, but as the driving licence derogation has been implemented, although he'll still have to wait until he is 21, a car test pass will cover the use of the three wheeler in the UK.

At the moment though, he'd need a full bike licence to drive a three wheeler abroad.

A number of us are making sure the driving licence situation does not get forgotten and perhaps the next directive will put the issue right. A lot of EC member countries have now implemented the derogation - and it was only put there for Sweden.

Thanks Martyn - that's very helpful to know.

I think I will still encourage him to take his motorcycle test for the increased road awareness this will school in him.

Does that make me the youngest member of the Forum? if so, is there a prize?

If there is, I want a new horn.

The horn push on (3 month old) Moto Lita steering wheel is acting up still and that would be a nice births/youngest member present, in my view.

That gives everyone over two months to organise the presentation.

Just saying.....

That's funny, I'll be 50 next October 13th, so I'm definitely older than you! laugh
