Just completed a call round to see who gets my money for the next insurance year.

Headley won for 4 reasons:

1. They were the cheapest, by more than £40.00
2. They didn't try to sell me stuff I don't need
3. Non competition track and hill runs covered
4. The insurance is underwritten by Hiscox

Hiscox

The latter point is important. Hiscox are not some nameless Lloyds syndicate but a VERY reputable specialist insurance company. Details above.

I'm confident that they will pay if needed....

I had to speak to G&W yesterday to increase the mileage on mine and I brought up with Gavin that I'd paid the £50 to go up the hill at TOTH and then others I spoke to didn't have to pay as the insurers moved the goal posts to fall in line with other insurers. Gavin rang me back 10 minutes later to say that will reimburse half of the money to me during this year and take the other half off next year's premium.

I thought that was very fair and extremely good customer service.

success,
Adrian Flux have reviewed my case and have agreed to a refund with a lower level of commission.

I have decided to now go back to Aviva as their customer service was so exemplary following my crash earlier in the year. I managed to convince them to insure the 3 wheeler.
"how many doors does it have"
"none"
" sorry say that again, how many did you say"
"none"
"no i meant doors sir"
"like the band?"

Also with Aviva for the +4 as non of the Morgan/classic companies quoted less than £1000 with 10 years no claims. With 12 points some would no even quote

I've stuck with " Adrian Flux" Classic Policy never had a problem with them, I've moved house half way thru a policy and ......got a refund.....as my new address is a very low rated (rural) area.
I pay £175 pa at 59yrs ( retired) clean licence, advanced driver ( grade 1 ex plod) & with 4000miles on the policy.

It pays to be OLD sometimes ha ha ha

I've previously insured Porsche RS60 replica, JZR Three wheeler (morgan rep 3wheeler) ,Morris Cowley (1927) inc wedding hire, Jaguar mkII, MG Midget 1500cc, Landrover Defender 90 ( modified), Austin Ashley special, Austin 7 and a few others.
BUT
I don't do track days and car is garaged each night...

I do use Carole Nash for my bikes ( they now also do cars! BUT NOT 3 wheelers!)
