I know some of you guys know that my Charger is 2 years into a nut and bolt restoration and that some were keen to see the progress. I'll put up pics as I take them but there are a few here to bring you up to speed. The Car is a genuine 440 R/T that lived it's whole life in CA with just one owner that bought the car when he was just 17. I have the original Bill of Sale and I have a number of letters from the guy giving some detail of it's life. He still lives at the same address. The car came here in 2004. I started off putting the car into have a bare metal respray as I knew the car was rust free (a real rarety with these cars) Soon after prep started I decided to have the car stripped of every nut and bolt, dipped and e-coated.       Dipped and now e-coated   Primed   More to follow soon

2 years and still a shell? You are a patient man. Do you have an idea of when it will be completed? It will be a majestic piece of American iron once done but I would be chomping at the bit to get behind the wheel.

When you told me you were posting some photos, I expected to see some new ones!  It looks like they are doing a very tidy job; however, at the pace this resto is moving at, I fear we'll still be talking about it in 2-years  What is the ETA? And, tell us more about the car as I don't know much about the Charger. (This is the part where Aeroman is going to jump in and tell me I have an NA fixation  )

You can't hurry a masterpiece. Simon....what do you mean by new pics....have you seen these before? The Chargers best years wee in this body shape (B body) 68 through to 70 changing each year very slightly. Having said that the 68 is favoured by most (obviously  ) This one is a 440 R/T which is the big boys one...7.2 ltrs. A Hemi version is the ultimate but very rare and valuable. I have more pics to follow but thought I'd slow it down a bit......there's only so much excitement Simon can manage in one sitting.  Reckon it's moving on now and should be done by the turn of the century. It's a massive car and there's a lot of preparation there. Body caps/shut lines are absolutely spot on and that's the detail.

Simon....what do you mean by new pics....have you seen these before?
I thought you'd shown me these before but then again, all pictures of an empty shell look pretty samey  I still don't know what I'm looking at... is it a car?
