Morgan now knocking on the door of 1100 M3W's produced by now and of those, there are 51 names registered on here as owners. That's around five per cent.

That leaves around 95% of M3W's that we never hear of.

And yet on here the world is an angry, hating place, with pitchfork wielding owners climbing Pickersleigh hill with much intent.

Where has the bonhomie, the adventures & the camaraderie gone? Where is the humour, the general Morganeering and well, fun?

Is it just me that's missing this? Or has the heat of a UK summer driven Englishmen into mad dogs?

I'm not a M3W owner, but in general (and I have spoken a M3W owner who got a whole new chassis, and is still loyal to his car and the factory), I have the feeling that most owners stay loyal. But you may be critical as it's a lot of money concerned.

I think I'd be very angry if I'd bought one and it had spent as much time off the road and had as many problems as some of the ones on here seem to have.

I'm no statistician but 5% isn't a bad sample size is it?

Perspective is important and I'd really like to have some idea of what the experience has been for the silent "95%" but I don't agree with the above. I've read a lot of humor and patience from folks who became the unwitting development engineers for a flawed product - a really expensive flawed product. MMC would do itself and its customers good service by a careful and open minded read of this forum.

I think that there a lot of ultra low mileage M3W owners out there - away from the world of TM unaware of many of the issues being aired. The M3W is addictive and so many owners tolerate a lot of the ongoing problems.

I am one of them...but even my patience and enthusiasm wears thin..in fact I am running on empty...but still running. After 15 visits to the Factory for upgrades/fixes etc and more potentially in the offing.

I do not want to have problem/s - all I want is for my car to be "right". I am a moderate by character and an optimist. So I have kept the faith....BUT how much longer??!!I have to say that I am disappointed with my car. But Heart rules the Head!

So on we go.....

This is a puzzling thread ......there have been a lot of frustrated comments on TM by people who have paid a lot of money for a lot of problems , but generally most people love their cars and just want them to work .

Steve I remember some posts from you both pre and post delivery which weren't exactly positive !

As M3Boy says the 95% probably consist of a lot of people doing ultra low mileage who consequently have very few problems .

Ok, here's where I'm coming from with all of this.

I've bought a hugely expensive, quite unique small car as an inspirational purchase from an English low volume car manufacturer. I've met the people who put the thing together & I've enjoyed meeting the whole team who, I believe, have the cars longevity at heart.

I have been & still am, so frustrated at the niggling reliability issues that still plague the experience that if someone asked me the question whether I would be prepared to take the car on holiday again, I would be in a dilemna & the gut feeling would be no.

I had a parcel delivered to home the other day, but missed the delivery and my neighbour took it in for me. When I got home, he called in and gave me the parcel and as we both wondered what exactly it was, my son came past and suggested it was a drip tray!!

The point in all of this really, is to remember that it's the height of summer and that I still have some pennies for petrol and blood in my veins. There is so much happiness in the car that I should be making use of. I'm one of the fortunate ones with a long guarantee left, but any manufacturers guarantee won't make up for spoilt holidays or missed days out.

Mine will be going in before the end of the school holidays, and no, it shouldn't be happening. None of this should be happening, and despite everything that has gone on before, it still frustrates the hell out of me.

That the car is still worth investing enthusiasm in speaks volumes for it's charisma. I just get fed up with the constant whingeing on here from people who simply want to kick others choices in the teeth. I read sneery comments from supercilious four wheeled Morgan owners who think it must be fashionable to join the 'M3W is shyte' arguments and perpetuate it.

When I first came on here, there were some really great people with some great stories & photo's. It just seems to have gone downhill, which is probably down to me I expect.

Personally I think a day of direct action on the doorstep at Pickersleigh Road would get peoples attention. Sod the emails..

But if not, enjoy this lovely holiday weather and be grateful you still have health, relative wealth & be happy.
