Do those cooling kit fans run all the time in this weather - hellish noisy from what I can tell?!

Do those cooling kit fans run all the time in this weather ? Nooo , it comes on below about 10 mph and stand still - if the engine is too hot. I it is not too hot it doesn't come on. I was stuck on the M6 for 15 mins on Friday on my way home from work in sweltering conditions. No skip fire. A must have in my opinion. I don't find the fan noise objectionable, not as much as the drive belt noise anyways

I didn't mind the noise on my hot trip around France and Italy, a very practical upgrade and ideal when stuck in traffic. Not that noisy, mind you my pipes are loud.

Don't have the cooling fan upgrade but despite the current hot weather I've still to find out if my M3W actually does this skip fire thing. Could it be more suited to quiet mountain roads than sitting in town centre traffic jams?

I think a balance pipe would break in about 100 miles - with the vibration from the mighty S&S!! Thats if it it didnt get snapped off under the car!The Guzzi engine is very still in comparison. Anyway I like the sound of the S&S as it is - v v distinctive and IMHO just right!!
