VICMOG is great. As an American visiting on a business trip the entire club came out on a Thursday to welcome me to Melbourne. They opened up a member's business there in Melbourne and had a Morgan party. Great time and a very nice thing to do for a wayward American. Also there is the Australian Morgan dealer Chris van Wyk on Swan Street. Not that the Morgan folks in WA aren't super as well, but WA is quite a distance from Melbourne.

I wasn't sure whether Richard was serious in suggesting that you join Morgan Owners Club of WA, or whether that is a typo!
Opps - typo....

A big Sydney welcome to you Eric Hello Fellow Morganeers
I'm in the process of shipping my dear old 94 Plus 4 from Scotland to Australia and was wondering if there were any other Talk Morgan members based in or near Melbourne?
Cheers Eric

Greetings Eric! VICMOG is (as the name suggests) for VIC only; while the national club (MOCA) is for the whole of Oz - one contingent per state including VIC! Hope this clarifies matters!

Ah - I should have said that VICMOG is a separate organization altogether and not connected in any way with MOCA (Morgan Owners' Club of Australia Inc) ...

Vicmog is a worthwhile group and I would suggest as well the more broadly based Morgan owners club of Australia MOCA who have a good website and a monthly members magazine. This is the reference which Richard was making in an earlier post and of which we in the West are members but still use our unique badge which you can see elsewhere on this talk Morgan site. To put distance in perspective we are as far from Melbourne as you currently are from Athens or thereabouts

Just to clarify from a Melbourne based perspective, VICMOG also has a monthly magazine and a good website. If one must have the MOCA Magazine then magazine membership of MOCA is an option but full membership of MOCA in Victoria is not worth it as they don't run any events in Victoria
