There has been much discussion recently on those owners like me whose warranty runs out in a few months. I cannot see Morgan extending these but I can see that it would make sense for them to charge an annual fee of say £350 to extend the current warranty. Like other manufacturers it would only cover the failure of major items like engine, gearbox, chassis, drive chain etc. If they did offer this I am sure it would be taken up by a large number of pre-2014 owners and let them sleep at night securely knowing that they would not be faced with unexpected major bills, also it would hold up the second hand value of the cars which is in everyone's interest

Have you called Morgan or your dealer to ask if these products are available.

I called MMC a month b4 my warranty ran out to enquire about extended warranty. I was given v short shrift - and a loud NO.
So I eventually found and bought a warranty from an after market seller ( its insurance after all).See my earlier posts for full info. It cost £840 for three years. A good investment for peace of mind - and now transferred to the new owner.
So yes come on MMC wise up and sell extended warranties!!

Most other manufacturers offer them. It is a profit generating activity.

You're right, on a "normal" bike or car, it's a safe bet for them to offer the INSURANCE policy with a deductible of course.

Thanks for the information, I will suggest this to Allon White from who I purchased my M3W and who have been excellent in carrying out warranty work. I have also contacted Vehicle Warranty4U for a quote, thanks for the contact details

Correct. Insurance is all about risk and in this case I can see that risk to be too high. There is a high failure rate compared to overall number sold.

Most of the extended warranty people are probably not yet aware of the issues. Buy now, once you have a policy you have it. But yu probably won't get a renewall!

This discussion is interesting but we need to distinguish between wear and tear versus design flaws. A warranty may run out but morgan's constraints to develop a good reputation won't. I am sure the factory is reasonable post expiration if you show some realisation of how small firms operate and agree to share the burden. Wear and tear should be financed by the driver imho. Insurance is a dirty business and warranty finance is the rankest of them all.
