Hello,on a Sunday morning from America!

My name is Randy and I am a new aero 8 owner based in america,so yes I drive on the wrong side.I have followed this site with interest, and the site is one of the main reasons I am an aero 8 owner today.I have had my car which is an Aero 8 America, colored maserati bordeauz pontevecchio, maroon wing beading for about two months. The interior is muirhead anthracite leather with maroon carpets piped gray and it had 75 miles on the odometer when I purchased it. I believe this car was built for the Los Angeles auto show in 2007 and there are some additional pictures on the American dealer Morgan West's website.

This is a much different car than my other vehicles,an Audi r8 and a 911C4s yet I am really growing fond of the aero and its driving characteristics.I did learn quite quickly, slow in the curve, quick out...The hand built quality and the materials are top notch, love the side pipes, its like four wheel Harley cycling which is so popular in America.I can see me keeping this car around for a long while just for the motoring experience, it is unique as all aero owners know.

Some suprises, this car is actually quite confortable and quiet with speeds up to 75mph, not real loud and very composed on the road.Get on it a little and its a beast, it drives like nothing else I have ever driven, but it is addicting.

I have posted some photos here, hope they post well, and I will save my questions on the car for another post. Many of the conversations and the spirit on this site convinced me to give this car a go, as dealer support here is quite limited. After two months we have had a lot of fun with the aero, of course attention everywhere you drive it, and a satisfaction with the overall unique driving characteristics of the car.I will be driving this car a lot. Looking forward to participating in the forums...Have a great day!

I actually saw your car at the factory last year, almost ready to be shipped, they were waiting for a couple of parts to arrive(the rear air diffuser and the side vents)...

Nice colour and very distinctive thumbs

Hi Randy

Good to have you on board, welcome.

Your car is stunning by the way, I just love that colour love

And like Kin I am also envious of your weather, I just wish it would stop raining here. Sunny and warm would be a miracle.

Anyhow, enough English weather whingeing laugh2 Happy Morganeering thumbs

Wow Randy, that's bitchin (as I think you guys say! smile ) thumbs

I've never seen an Aero in that colour before and it really really works well. When do we hear more about it and how it compares to the R8 and the Porsche. No doubt if you have been reading TM, you will have read about the sub-genre called HogMog and it looks as though you qualify for membership. innocent flag

To all who greeted me, thanks I feel welcome already.A very good day today as I drove the aero 125 miles round trip, played a little golf, took a few nickles from my buddies, and enjoyed a 75 degree sunny day, and no not rubbing it in...This is the only car I own that has a trunk that fits a carry golf bag, the covey carve out on the right side of the trunk liner is great for the longer clubs/driver/3 wood...I will look at hog mog...and if folks have an interest I will detail how the aero drives compared to the others.I did have a BMW Z8 roadster for two years and the aero replaced that car as a weekend specialty type/investment car.The one thing I do is use all my cars, have them to drive, so they get driven. The aero continues to impress and I am getting used to the more traditional driving position.I am still amazed at how quickly Charles Morgan gets in the aero in the (brighton?) video, he must be more flexible than myself...

I do need to find a half cover to put over the windshield/boot to leave the top down when traveling...I have seen them in some of the new pictures posted in the last few days.Again thanks for the greetings.
