You will recall that on the 2012 4 cylinders, the ECU is on the bulkhead, and there is no seal between the lid and bulkhead. Mine had water stains under the ECU, which is why I used my favourite product to seal it well.
The relays are well tucked away under the dash though.

My ecu is in the glove box so should be bone dry.

The Scottish equivalent of a glovebox. It is a shortened Dove cot. Goodness knows how it came about and it might not be a common one but my Dad always used it.
