Just to be confusing the smaller lengths are measured in millimetres not centimetres as in Europe.

I would have to give my mother in law measurements in mm because cm were too confusing.

After going through primary school learning how to do everything in 12's, it was so refreshing to just learn how to do it in 10's love

When I was at college over 46 years ago petrol was indeed 2/6 per gallon.

The local pub put up the price of a pint from 2/10 to 2/11 and we all boycotted it!!!

Those were the days eh!! grin2

I'm definitely not yet an expert at engines but, can anyone tell me what happens when the tank actually runs dry and the engine stops because of lack of petrol intake? Will the car start off again if I just put petrol in the tank?

On my previous MG, I had a small fuel can to fill the tank a little bit, start, rush to the station and fill up.
