There should be no corrosion on a 2010. You may get a little where the wing bolts to the inner front valance if those bolts have been disturbed at any time and occasionally you can find it at the base of the body tub just in front of the rear wheel arch if the owner hasn't regularly oiled the body beading. This is not like corrosion on a steel body but more a lifting of the paint due to surface corrosion. Walk away from one that hasn't been maintained, most owners are fastidious.

I had thought about a Roadster, but I'm concerned about the running costs when compared with a +4. Also Prices seem to start at about £33,000.
I'll pay Melvyn Rutter and Techniques a visit.

Ncik, the running cost differential between a Roadster and +4 of the same age is fuel and road tax. The rest is much the same.
A Roadster won't do much more than 30mpg if driven as MMC intended. Road tax is about £285...
But unless you are driving 5K+ miles a year the difference in fuel cost is trivial.
Roadsters, as you have found, are between £30 and £40K depending on age and confdition. Depreciation is almost unmeasurable.

Difference in mpg between a Roadster and plus 4 is probably about 10 mpg but obviously depends on how you drive it and the particular model and, as Peter says, in the scheme of things isn't significant although the extra range might be useful. Road tax could be £100 plus more for the Roadster, depending on model, and Insurance tends to be based on value not performance if you use one of the specialist mog Insurers. The biggest cost of running any car is depreciation and on a Morgan that is not an issue, I have sold both of my previous Morgans for more than I paid for them. So to reinforce what most contributors to this forum would say get the car that you like most and enjoy it.

Nick, welcome, I used to own a 96 Plus 8 which was lovely, lots of power, but heavier to drive. I recently changed to a 3.7 Roadster, during this process I drove several cars. The plus 4 I found to be nippy and fun to drive, in fact I would say the plus 4 tourer Sport with Suplex was superb if you wanted a compliant and comfortable easy to drive trad Morgan, a great touring car. I drove several S1 and S2 Roadsters, lots of go and depending on wheels/tyres a good drive, however I drove one S2 and just hated the gearbox, slow and clunky and would have driven me crazy, I am not sure but I believe they can vary in this. I ended up in what I have because it has lots of power which I like, but is still easy to drive, 15" wires with 205/65 tyres, adjustable koni shock absorbers all round, and brake reaction bars (I negotiated the shockers and reaction bars in the deal) the rest is standard. It's easier at low speeds due to electric assisted steering, and it has a lovely 6 speed box. A great and comfortable Morgan that can be very fast. Depending on your budget I would try Plus 4s and Roadsters, if you can find one try a Roadster with 15" wheels they feel slightly different IMO. Whichever you test drive take careful note of the gearbox and whether it's notchy, also depending on your driving style whether you find you need to change gear more than you'd like or not. My problem is that currently I run a restored Triumph TR6 and been mostly maintaining it myself. I now have a back issue which is stopping me from doing this,therefore I figured that a Morgan would provide similar thrills whilst using modern and easier to maintain mechanicals. It's now a matter of deciding which Morgan fulfills my requirements, so far I've driven a 4/4 and plus four. I didn't get on with the 4/4, but quite liked the plus four. I was surprised that they were both a lot more refined than my TR6.

Hi and welcome (a bit late I know  ) : I'd just like to ad that I own a 2010 Plus4, bought it new, and do not know what's the meaning of that word rust you mentioned!  Oh and make no mistake. The Plus4 is everything a Morgan should be. Light, good handling, no other Morgan will beat it in a twisty road, not even its heavy trad sisters with their big V engines.
