Car came out of the right factory Graham. Anything with a Morgan badge is good for me (including the 90 which has one above the back door!! ). But then, anything mechanical is of interest...

Part of the reason I haven't looked into joining is I really don't get that "Warm cosy feeling" when I have met up in the past with trads. I get the feeling we Aero 8 folk are on the fringe ... but maybe its just me ? I too don't get that warm cozy feeling amongst some of The MSCC members I have come across at events, with the exception of Curborough which was very welcoming. Whether it is the narrow minded ness regarding an Aero's non standard number plate, or sitting within an inch of my P&J, (was I parking in THEIR group's spot), or rude grumpy old women taking over the cafe at breakfast. Those like that are giving the MSCC a bad name. Michelle Bailey has been a breath of fresh air, and the thus far improvements to Miscellany are very welcome. I will stick with membership to give it time to improve further.

Entrenched views can be a killer to any organisation. A Morgan is a Morgan, they are all great cars (few warranty claims aside)and have allowed the factory to survive a very difficult recession.
MSCC need to embrace this or the membership will continue to decline.

Anything with a Morgan badge is good for me too but I really have a feeling that not not all Mog owners feel the same Graham. Maybe we should do a Landy meeting but I have a 110 county how does that hang with you being a 90 man Perhaps we could discuss it over a bacon butty

MSCC need to embrace this or the membership will continue to decline. The main reason a group of us set up the Lyme Bay Centre of MSCC (Fossilmog), was the experiences we had shared when visiting other local groups (unfriendly to the point of being hostile) Three of the four "Founding Fossils" are members of TM (AJSki2fly, NeilM + yours truly). Everyone is made welcome and we have Trads, M3Ws (old & new) and at a recent meeting a lovely Aero Supersport. As I said earlier, without the other Fossils, I would not have bothered to renew my MSCC membership. ps BLATANT ADVERT - Our next Meeing is next Wednesday (24th) at the Highwayman's Haunt at Chudleigh. 7.00 for 7.30 to eat, or turn up anytime if you are just there for the If you plan to come along for the first time then PM me and we'll make sure that we look out for you.

... but maybe its just me ? Not it isn't. John, Brian, Andy and myself have been on the receiving end of some very 'interesting' comments from MSCC members with respect to the Aero. In fact, many of these were at LMC in 2010 and 2012. Whilst there are many members who are welcoming, there are a vocal part of the group who are more than happy to be fairly obnoxious toward anything other than a Trad. With that said, we all have them to thank for TM because without that venom, I'd never have been motivated to create a home where all were welcome.

Simon Trust me, the venom isn't just reserved for Aero owners. the lovely Lady Budster and I have twice had really obnoxious comments made, both at Centenary events. The first of which came from a then senior official of the MSCC. 1 "Oh God, it's only a Runabout, why on earth would you buy one of those" 2 "You shouldn't have black & silver plates, you damage the integrity of the MSCC" TlLB witnessed both and very nearly told them to "F off" On the first point, Stanley is a bit of a hybrid (not in the modern sense) a bit like its owner!

Stanley is not a hybrid he is Morgan, well cared for well fettled and always impeccably turned out. A Morgan is a Morgan and we all like our our own flavours there is no room for pomposity and a form of bigotry in any organisation. At the picnic I attended a couple of people were rather scathing and down your nose because my badge bar has no badges..... Not my thing really but for those who like them that is fine by me. the cars are for the pleasure of driving and maintaining not some pseudo hierarchy ........

That sums up why I am so happy with TM as near enough all encounters I have engaged with hear at TM have been light hearted and helpful. I believe the reason for this is we have time to consider our posts and responses before being on the defensive over what face to face could turn nasty. Thanks to you Simon, John, Andy, being an Aero owner would have been a dark place without TM. Good luck to all the members of MSCC I hope the future is rosy for you but for me it's back to the
