Hallo 4/4 4 87.
I would be very interested in seeing pictures. Like you have never figured out how to post pictures as an attachement etc. i would also like to use a picture of my car as my signiture, but I do not have an URL to house it. Hallo 4/4 4 87 - Thanks for the photos - sorry I have not replied earlier.
Looking closely at the pictures it is not clear what is holding the screen upright, Is there some for and aft support?

The screen is held in place by the side screen fastners. I have inserted a large washer between and make sure they are quite tight (more than would normally be rquired). I have no problems with the wind stop moving even at high speed

Have a windbreak for my old BMW Cabriolet and it is excellent. Many years ago drove it through the mountains in Japan hood down in -10C on a bright clear day and it was superb - despite strange looks from Japanese drivers who no doubt thought I was mad. But its role is in part to cover the well created by the rear seats into which the wind whips at any speed when the hood is down. In the 4/4 find the abscence of rear seats and the low seating position seems to prevent this from happening in any major way compared to a 4 seater.
Do you prefer driving hood down on sunny cold days or sunny hot ones? I have to confess a preference for the former.

The latter - especially now that all the leaves have changed colour; our favourite time of the year.
Didn't James Bond have one of those wind trimmers fitted to an Aston? Think his was a 'pop-up' jobbie in boiler plate...
Having not experienced a 4-seater, must admit was wondering what the problem was. So far, a raised collar (especially a furry one!) has solved any problems, but the extra gap explains it!
