Just did a few laps of a local circuit in a late-model Aston Martin Vantage (V8 with paddle-shift). Don't think I've ever felt so UN-connected with the road before. A dream deflated - oh well...

You should have seen the way one of the instructors was throwing the Lotus around. It seemed to defy the laws of physics.

Sounds like a great day out.
I had a similar day, a few years ago, at the Bedford Autodrome.
Even driving myself I felt so motion sick by lunchtime, that I had to sit out the afternoon!
