Just did a few laps of a local circuit in a late-model Aston Martin Vantage (V8 with paddle-shift). Don't think I've ever felt so UN-connected with the road before. A dream deflated - oh well...

You should have seen the way one of the instructors was throwing the Lotus around. It seemed to defy the laws of physics.

You should have seen the way one of the instructors was throwing the Lotus around. It seemed to defy the laws of physics. Sounds like a great day out. I had a similar day, a few years ago, at the Bedford Autodrome. Even driving myself I felt so motion sick by lunchtime, that I had to sit out the afternoon!
