Just a nice ride with tlLB; out through Dawlish and Sheldon and back over the Halden Hills via Chudleigh. Oh and a stop for coffee at the Route 38 Diner.

No drive today sadly. Was going to take Nero over to the Autumn Show at Malvern but late morning recovering from a wild night with the Mousehole Male Voice Choir in Worcester......those guys know how to knock back pints!

No drive today either as spent most of the day trying to get Hard Top to fit. I was hoping to get it adjusted lift it off & hang it up ready for winter and then go for a drive with no hood fitted at all as it is so warm. Been a great year for Morgan motoring smile as I us the car as much as possible including commuting.

Returned home this afternoon from a long weekend in the Morgan - 290 miles including the "Cat and Fiddle" plus a little motorway excursion for a boat trip on the Anderton Lift. A grand weekend away with glorious weather.

On Sunday really - took the Morgan and swmbo to Wisley gardens. Trying to avoid the congested M25 and M4 resulted in a bit of a detour innocent

Alis is trying out some progressive contact lenses and we had to go to the optometrist today for her second trial of about 3 hours. The optometrist is about 30 km away then we continued on for another 50 km up one of the pre-alp valleys and back. A lovely drive following the river followed by a short visit to the town of Sondrio, a place that is always a pleasure to visit. http://www.italiantouristoffice.se/sv/docs/1548.pdf

Anyway, despite the cloudy day it was a pleasant round trip of about about 160 km.

The progressive contacts? Alis is over the moon. She has taken to them and finds their use absolutely natural. She says it is like getting her eyes back (the way they used to be). On Thursday there will be an 8 hour trial and then, if all is ok, she will start using them all the time.

Great drive down to Duxford . About 150 mile round trip top down in the (hazy) sunshine. Not been there for a while and it seems to get better each time. The collection of aeroplanes is tremendous and I was lucky that a Spitfire uk was doing circuits and beating up the airfield most of the afternoon. Must go again soon!
