I have an early 2013 Superdry model, before they extended the leg room, I asked the dealer I bought it off if it could be upgraded to the 2014 spec. They said no, there was no way the pedals could be moved further forward, on the new models Morgan had changed the chassis. So I asked Williams Morgan if they could do it and they said YES we have done several, so I drove it up to Bristol and three hours later I had the perfect driving position. If anyone else has the same problem give them a call they were excellent.
Welcome to TM Terry, I'm glad you signed up, you can now find out about all the things your car should and, more to the point, shouldn't be doing! Great to hear the pedal operation was a success.
Can you please explain how one can change the pedals ? On my wife's M3W there are four positions to place the pedals. But on my Gulf (which is a few months older) there are only three positions. I have it now on the most forward position but for my length it's still not enough to be comfortable. Did they drilled extra holes in the bottom plate ? Can you send some pictures ? To put a spacer between the steering wheel doesn't sound a good idea to me because this bring the wheel closer to your body
Hi They have to move the plate on which the pedals are mounted. They raise the back of the plate and move it towards the front of the car they drill new holes in the floor panel. I understand that Williams Morgan have a kit for it. I will try and take a picture of the underside showing the new mounting holes. regards Terry
I have taken a picture from inside and a sketch of the underside. Please note that it is Right Hand Drive, so yours may be reversed. Regards Tezzer (Terry Clarke)
Hi Tezzer, Looking at your picture in between the clutch and brake pedals at the very top of the picture you can see a flexible hydraulic pipe - which appears to have some chaffing on it on the underside - where I suspect the clutch pedal is , or was at some time , rubbing against it. Worth checking out if it is still happening and moving that pipe fractionally so it is out of the way.
