My 2005 zetec-engined 4/4 does not have an audible turn signal indicator, just the light on the dash. As a result I sometimes forget to cancel the indicator, usually after overtaking as the indicator self-cancels after any reasonable "turn".

Would this model, or indeed other trads, normally have one? Maybe mine is simply broken? If they are not fitted as standard, have others fitted one, if so which?

Cheers
Nigel

I know my 97 +4 doesn't have one. I think Librands sell them.

Folks,
I came across this site when looking for a means to hear the turn signal on my motorbike a few years ago. It could be what you are looking for!

Cheers from a pretty good Morgan day in Ireland!

There is currently a 'Group Purchase' planned from recent discussions in MogTalk with some discount. If people are interested then send me a PM for the time being and I will pass it on. We are hoping that there may be a 'Promotional Code' for all to use for a limited time but not sure at this moment.

UPDATE

Anyone visiting the Audicator website www.audicator.com and purchasing any item over £25 will recieve a 15% discount by entering MORGAN as a discount code. There will still be the £3.95 P&P charge though (£5.45 if you order two).

(Be good to know how many purchase to send to the creator of this group purchase!) - No business interest with Audicator from any individuals making this deal..

Go to Jaycar or Dick smiths and buy a 12 volt reversing beeper. Its about the size of a 50 cent piece, 10mm thick and circular.
It has 2 thin wires.
find the blinker repeater module under the dash and pull the connector apart.
Insert the wires into the holes until it beeps when indicator is activated.
Not both wires into same hole though...
You will find that it is loud enough to be heard above the roar of the engine , even with the hood down. So bobs you uncle.... read

The problem with beepers is that they bleep all the time, which is very annoying, particularly when waiting at traffic lights with the hood-off.

The joy of the Audicater is can be programmed with a delay before bleeping, and the volume of the bleeping can be also be programmed to get louder. A touch on the brakes resets everything for the traffic-light situation.

I have had one on my +8 since '07, Excellent bit of kit.

For those interested in using the Audicator on older positive ground Mogs, here is the circuit I used:

Hiya all.
I have a Duratec 4/4 of 2005 vintage which has the quiet and dim type indicator warning set up we all suffer with. I fitted an indicator warning buzzer to my car for the obvious reason. Very soon after I fitted it I found it irritated me,so much so that I removed the buzzer and replaced it with 2 LEDs fitted on the flat face of the steering wheel cowl,(the one that faces the driver which is exposed when you fit a Motolita type steering wheel and mounting boss).
The LEDs cost about 3 quid from eBay. I did this about 3 years ago,it works and I have had no problems with the indicators since.
Just an Idea that may help.
Best wishes.
