As 2014 winds down, has there been any news on any changes to the 2015 model year. It seems that interest in the 3W is decreasing and I would not be surprised by 2016 if they discontinued the 3W. I hope not, I have been loving mine and think every human should have one.

wow discontinued by 2016, now that's a prediction. The M3W still looked busy when I was at the factory a couple of weeks ago. Do you have inside information?

Can't see them discontinuing it myself... Although it would be good for the value of existing ones if they did! More likely to bring out other versions I would have thought.

They haven't even done the lightweight 'Super Sports' version yet, with the big bore engine kit, weighing in at only 400kgs and costing £50,000! They can't discontinue it until they have at least gone as far as that.

Agreed. I dont see it stopping soon and that was the impression I got from talking to employees. Judging by the big bore kit price and pricing strategies of ariel v8 and titanium and caterham, I think more like 75000 to 150000 for a lightweight supersports

No inside information just some personal observations.
1) I live in Los Angeles which should be a natural market for the 3W. The local dealer has not really sold any in a while and people aren't wowed by the test drives as they once were. I have also noticed that parts are in short supply which is nothing new but it does not seem that they are correcting the problem.
2) There was a lot of activity in 2014 with the new changes. I figured 2015 would continue the improvements but alas nothing new for this year.
I hope the 3W does not fall by the wayside. Unlike most of the new 3W vehicles coming to market, they are trying to make something out of Mad Max, the Morgan is truly the only well proportioned good looking vehicle.

I think morgan is planning on entering the three wheeled golf buggy market with the new electric design. That should keep the order books full. I might even take up golf.

Do we actually know if sales are slowing up? I see pre-reg cars do seem to be hanging around here in the Uk . My recent factory visit saw plenty of them around/being worked on and my order is quoted as 4 months or so.
On the subject of pre-reg, what on earth are Morgan doing playing that game? even the trad models can be bought as pre-reg at discounted prices - that cannot be good for the brand can it?
Don't really see why they would do that to be honest - its not good business sense in my mind.

Talking of 2015 changes the dealers i spoke too recently know of none due - but added that didn't mean much! Its likely a gradual development apparently.

No definitive information but the same vehicles still sit at the dealer. In fact, my friend has been trying to sell his for almost two years. Here in the US the dealers are buying the used ones and selling them for full price.
I think if cars are hanging around in the UK and the US sales must be down. I can tell you on this side of the pond besides what the media thinks, our economy is still not close to where it should be for these kind of purchases.
In the US we do not pre register. What is that? They could be doing that to show sales if registering a vehicle in the UK counts as a sale. Sounds weird.
