As we've discussed before, Tiff was (unusually I fell) driving like a baboon in that show, most likely as Sabine was with him and he did not highlight the best characteristics of our cars. He was very lucky not to roll it, that's for sure. His colleague Johnny Smith was far more appreciative;
The corner where he understeered off I suspect the car could have gone round! Certainly two and three speeder Morgans can dial out understeer by opening the throttle.
I have once on a roundabout been heading for the curb and an accident - opened the throttle and got round with no fuss as all.
I'd not be surprised if Tiff does know that technique but had the near accident for the camera. I'd not lend him a car though!

The problem is that the "5 speeder" has a lot more grip at the rear. On a low-grip surface it is possible to achieve throttle-induced oversteer but in most circumstances will merely increase the understeer.

Obviously I bow to the knowledge of five speeder owners, but you are not looking to break traction, just alter the balance. A circuit, rather than the road is ideal to find out what occurs, and what can be done.
I totally agree Tiff didn't foresee the outcome, but I'd not lend him a car. While he is skilled at being spectacular, he's hard on machinery.
And he was trying to 'drift' the car with Ring-Taxi girl Sabine.....
I suspect that the Blockleys (which I have waiting to be fitted in the garage) will prove a bit more front end grip that might redress the front/rear grip balance somewhat. Feedback from others suggest this may be the case.
