Yes that it where mine is. When I picked my car up the dealer went to great lengths to explain where it was and that it can activate sometimes from a jolt rather than a crash also that if the wipers stopped it is usually the connecting plug needs pushing together. That is also left side attached to bulkhead.

I am back in the UK now after 3 weeks and 3 thousand miles in Spain, Portugal and France. The speedo showed 11574 miles as I drove out of garage where I keep the Roadster in Wales and 14574 as I drove it back in.

The ignition problem that you were all so helpful with was indeed the chip in the key. The issue is easy to identify now after the event, the chip had slipped out of the original key and I found it in the pocket of my shorts as I was unpacking the dirty washing.
