Thanks for posting the comparison photos
The extra inch or two makes quite a big difference to the face of the Morgan
All cars, indeed all objects have 'souls' and for some reason I'm more attracted to the narrow 4/4 face - it looks more friendly whereas the Plus 4 has a more neutral passive stare with a hint of latent aggression
My 4 seater 4/4 has the wider Plus 4 stare but the bumper gives it a wide slightly smiley mouth as opposed to the sabre tooth overriders

In addition somehow it looks like the head lights of the 70th anniversary model in comparison are welded a very little touch more outside into the wings but perhaps it´s only an optical illusion.

total width 4/4 1.6 (1650mm) / Plus4 & Roadster (1720mm) / Plus8 (1751mm) our 70th Anniversary (1630mm) ... ... measuring only 155 cm this morning, it lacks 8cm ... if someone found on his car the missing centimeters, he can contact me the first day, I should ask for a discount

Ciao Alberto
Yes I did. A very nice car which, I believe, has now been sold. More will be revealed in due course. Wow! You're buying it? I was tempted to propose him a switch but lost time apparently... Let me know ;-)

I've noticed that for the last couple of years the wings flare out slightly.by which I mean the top of the wheelarches aren't parallel with the road . it's easy to see on the lower wing leading edge...it goes up as it goes outwards. Most noticeable on the 4/4 for some reason. It gives the car a tiny amount of agression in it's stance, which suits the narrowness I think. Nick

Heinz, I think it may be an illusion due to the colours. The location of the headlamps shifted outwards in the early 2000's. Before then they didn't overlap the bulge in the wings, at least on the Plus 8's.

Nick Good spot - definitely flare out having looked again at the photos - I think the wider Plus 4 wing might also flare out but I think because the 4/4 is narrower it accentuates it more and gives it extra attitude like a cat with its paws out catching it's prey

Very interesting guys as I am considering changing my 4/4 for a narrow bodied +4 presumably with a similar wheel size you would need a speed tyre like a CR 6 to cope with the extra speed? RogT Sport sand Heidi
