OH yes!!!I receive it today, and what???It is crap!!!It so badly made I was shocked.right hand side deformed.30mm gap on all side.I don't believe it.3.3 grand 5 weeks waiting and I nave this pies of ....O.K.Gentleman nobody can say I am lazy or stupid to do this job.But if I paid money ,at least I can expect something which is made in England not in Pakistan.Where is a skill? where is the craftsmanship? Why British engineers design French bridges, Japanese airports,American cars,German cars, why British technicians and fitters working all over the world, why not here and now?I am upset.Do not repeat my mistake, never order hard top, let factory fit it.And what? You expect me to stop drinking and get my hands off the big boobs after it?NO I am not so British ,I am a bit of Russian,I cannot look on a bright side of life ,if I am not holding bottle of vodka in one hand and a boobs in in two other hands, after receiving so HARD TOP.Photo will be tomorrow.

he refuses to accept orders for hardtop for delivered cars

they suit the car to the hardtop...

I was under the impression that one should always take car to factory for hard top fitment due to the differences between every car.

Yuri,

You got to get this right, British engineers are very inventive, good at problem solving and easily bored, the Germans have 10,000 engineers turning each BMW into a slightly better BMW, same in other firms and over in Japan, in the UK some mad boffin with a slide rule designs the thing and it's perfect.

The British management come along and put the project under a an accountant

The accountant gets a value engineer

The value engineer makes the same thing cheaper

The shareholders are happy

The result is junk, British firm eventually goes bust because no one buys the stuff, meanwhile British firms want 20% profit on turnover, the French about 3% and the Germans sell everything at a loss except a few things sold to Treasure Island (UK to those who live here)

British engineer gets a job designing Mercedes, BMW, Cadillac and just about everything else. Accountant retires with pension, the shareholders wonder after years of dividends where the money went all of a sudden.

That leaves the British craftsman, he has no time for drawing boards, never heard of CAD/CAM, thinks standardisation is a negation of his craft, he gets a job with firms like Morgan and everything works as long as it is fitted by hand.

And another thing, we invented mass production of road vehicles from 1784 when the post office bought standard coaches for the royal mail service which is why those quaint christmas cards look the same, but we got bored with it and 100 yrs later along comes Henry Ford, very typical and the colonials think they invented mass production.

Ps if BMW had been a Brit co it would have gone bust in 1959!

Chris!I am an engineer.I has been an engineer in Russia,Denmark,Germany,Netherlands, now working here. So,if I am working abroad ,I am working as a British engineer which mean, I am working up to high British standard and represent engineering force of this country (except when I am working in Russia). It make me believe ,if I am ordering something from British engineering company, it will be excellent or good quality.About technicians and fitters:I am in charge of this guys, they don't have to know CAD,they have a talent, generations of experience, and with pen and paper can give a solution to hardest problem. They working hard and it's my kind of people.I strongly believe the hard top for my car been done by cheap foreign labour or British muslim (to say it politicly correct).About colonials-100% agree with you,I am RUSSIAN.Inventions-how to overcome the problem Russian invention-VODKA AND KALASHNIKOV-any problem solved.Drink half a bottle reload, Kalashnikov turn up to Morgan, and you will be offered perfect hard top for free.

Yuri,
Very good synopsis, I too have Russian experience, I married girl from Volskiy, very good with Kalashnikov especially when angry, actually this is nearly all the time except when sitting in Mog with designer sunglasses and shuba pretending the kids are nothing to do with her, also very good at destruction with malatok when anything annoys her.
Quite a lot of third generation imigrants here now and they are just like the multi generational locals, I employ some of them the only difference is visible, they are often good workers etc, suspect your hardtop made by non colonial foreigners somewhere foreign, probably somewhere never heard of a Morgan but manufacturing labour costs very cheap, might have come from UAZ factory where a 2 inch tolerance is big success or from that Ukraine auto maker.

Best find a good fibreglass shop, someone with cut it all to bits, glue it back together with armoured strips and it will keep AK47 bullets at bay and also malatoks too.

You will even be able to drive it safely in Grozny.
