Peter has one (the Lambo blue beauty) and Andy had his for awhile. I believe there is a few others.

Any particular questions Peter? I did do the bed in (first 1,000 miles) of the Nordkapp Plus 8 that Andy ended up buying. I might be able to assist?

I was wondering about adding driving lights..common enough on trads, but they mount to bumpers/overriders or the wing.

Do you know if anyone has done it on a new Plus 8?

Peter, if your Plus 8 is like my Roadster the sidelights will come on when the ignition is switched on and will act as running lights. I replaced the bulds with 9 element LEDs and they are pretty bright, and the bulbs with night breaker whie light.

There is PeterG in Essex, he's the chap with the Powder Blue Plus 8.

Martin, Adrian,

I was looking at the RAF Blue Supersports yesterday. It has no bumpers or over-riders, plus an under rad valence, very much like the Plus 8. It has a pair of spot/driving lights fitted to the bodywork, they are wired up so they come on as additional driving lights, improving light output at night.

I was wondering if such lights can be fitted to the Aero Plus 8, even though the body construction of the car is very different.

Peter

I believe the Plus 8 uses can bus wiring, in which case the wiring of extra lights might not be straight forward.

I was wondering if that was the case..
Certainly the engine/fuel system/transmission wiring will be BMW so can bus. I wasn't sure if the lighting and other non BMW electrics were the same, or "traditional"!

AFAIK John is correct.

Also, the Canbus software isn't BMW but rather a base system that has been modified by an engineer specifically for MMC. This is where some of the minor glitches with S4 Aeros stemmed from and therefore I spent some time speaking with the factory to understand what changes they had made to remedy them.

You can purchase CANBUS friendly lights (they just match the expected within range impedance - to avoid a lamp on the dash)

The thing is however is the extra wiring there as in the classic mogs?

The photos I have from Jays factory tour only show 3 maybe 4 connectors (proper waterproof locking type) certainly not a cluster of spare bullet connections and these go through a single rubber boot in the internal wing/bulkhead.
