For my part it's been jump in the car & turn the key & go over the first two years of Morgan ownership. Not quite sure that would have been the case I'd bought a 1960s classic.

I purchased my Morgan, because I have wanted one for almost 40 years. When I hop in it, I feel like I am king of the world, it not only is a great looking car, but it signifies to me that you can achieve your dreams.

I am usually always smiling when I can get it on an open road, and I agree with another poster, I can feel the stress just leach out of me when I am in it.

I am trying to get my Grandson to admire it as much as me, it gives us a nice point to bond over

There is no comparison between a Morgan and the rest.
I have tried other sports cars, often ones that have 5 stars and they do nothing for me. Why have a 2 seat car that handles and performs no better than a Ford Fiesta.
Few convertible cars perform as well as saloons.
The more refined and capable they become the further removed they are from the 'true sports car experience'.
Morgan gives you pride of ownership, retained value, simplicity,
rarity, uniqueness and owning one of the most loved vehicles on the road today.

These are the reasons why I own and love my Morgan:

* It's simply beautiful, or as an elderly woman put it: 'It's like a piece of jewellery'.
* It's more demanding than the average modern 'sports car' (whatever that is...) and it takes a certain amount of driving skills to handle when pushed.
* I can travel 'incognito' and still enjoy other motorists respect; Am I rich or poor? Is the car new or old? Powerful or not so powerful?
* By owning one I support a great heritage of craftsmanship.
* It's not like any other car, the concept is simply ingenious.

Nah, that's character actually mine is fine, as Peter J can testify to and was pleasantly surprised by, now keeping the damp at bay from all the electronics is a constant duty, especially since the mog took its garage space, yup I'm one of those peasants with only a single garage!

Having had several blasts in a Smart Roadster, including one down to BHM when I picked up Bumble, All I can say is that they are very impressive cars, considering the small engine.

Don't be narrow-minded!
My first car - back in the seventies - was a Triumph Spitfire.
It was great fun, had lots of torque, no one else had one here so it was exclusive too.(Then downside: as a young lad with average income I could not afford all the repair costs. I had to sell it when warranty was over because of the poor quality. )
Its not only Morgan which provides fun and a smile in the face, even an old Volkswagen Cabrio Beetle could make the trick, depending on personal taste.

For years I fancied a Morgan and when I was finally in a position to get one I read a lot of reports by motoring journalists many of them negative especially going on about bumpy suspension and bendy chassis. When I road tested one, however, I found that it was surprisingly soft on the suspension, (compared to my expectations) although it clearly had a "bendy chassis"! I loved it and bought one.
Peter is right, however, - the motoring press certainly don't help to sell Morgans.

Interestingly, other than a few kit cars, there are very few, if any, cars available which fit the mould of the Morgan, and for some people there really is no choice available, it is a Morgan or nothing. The fact that it has been built by humans and not robots, means it is relatively easy to repair, and has 'character' however that is determined.
