Try a small flag on a stick behind the seats to see which way the air flow is going.

This also happens in my Plus 4. Yes, occurs on my Plus 4 too. It is strange. We decided to drive straight through Switzerland on the way home last year rather than pay for another night in a hotel. A certain sudden desire for pizza may have had some influence on the decision We finished up with about 100km, from San Bernadino to Lugano, in the dark with light rain (and thankfully some very polite and considerate truck drivers). A good part of that is narrow mountain road and at first I had trouble finding a place to stop and put the hood up. Then I realised that at the speed we were doing absolutely nothing was coming in so we pressed on and arrived in Italy in time to eat a late pizza. On other occasions, in Italy, the inside of the screen had to be wiped down. Perhaps Swiss rain has some different quality.

I've only used the hood once and I think we were less wet with the hood off than the occasion when it was on!

The Aero windscreen is a much more efficient 'windscreen' in my experience than on the Plus 8
Every part of the aero bodywork is more efficient and above the legal speed limit is when it becomes most apparent.

It's all relative! I doubt next year's F1 cars will be stealing anything from either!
There was a lot of talk about relatively good aero on the original Aero but I expect the S2, S3 and S4 were worse and the SS seems a bit dodgy at higher speed if some of the Youtube vids are to be believed.
135mph (did it hood up on the Le Mans Classic this year in terrible weather this year - on the speedo so probably 125mph) was quite enough for me and my limited supply of undies for the trip. And the car felt stable and planted. I bet the Plus 8 is quite a handful much past these sorts of speeds even though that's not really the point!
I'd still love an Aero 8 S5 more than a Plus 8 myself and especially if it's got some GT3 type additions including a small rear wing (aftermarket). Dreaming again...
