We went over to seem Mark M this morning, weather dull, roads damp and greasy. Hood down...
After about 10 miles I could't see through the rear mirror, so wiped it clean. Then started to wonder why the view through the screen was dim, the wipers made no difference. Odd: I then realised the road crud was on the inside of the screen, mostly in the centre...
Stopped to clean it down and noticed the crud was also on the instruments...and on the back of the seat headrests!
It seems as though dirty damp air is comming into the cabin, possibly between the seats and slowing as it hits the inside of the screen.
This is most odd. Our Roadster didn't do this, so the aerodynamics must be different yet the car looks much the same.
Has anyone else noticed this "problem"? If you have experienced it is there a solution?

I have noticed that the plus 8 pulls a lot of rubbish and dust into the interior which I have not experienced on any other Morgan.

It'll no doubt be due to the vortices created by the wider wings. The answer drive slower

Perhaps your roadster wasn't driven in quite the same combination of weather and speed.
Certainly driven in the same weather, and given the state of the roads today, certainly as fast!

It'll no doubt be due to the vortices created by the wider wings. The answer drive slower The Roadster, and +4, are trapezoidal in shape, the front track narrower than the rear. The Plus 8 is square, same track at both ends. The Plus 8 has rather wider rear tyres too! Another difference is that the Trads have a curved fairing under the back of the car incorporating the reversing and fog light. The Aero chassis doesn't. Together I suspect the result is a much more pronounced vortex off the back. I don't suppose the car has been in a wind tunnel.... A diffuser screen is very probably the answer...

This also happens in my Plus 4. Yes, occurs on my Plus 4 too. The Plus 4 may be different but it still gets covered in crud.

Now I'm very confused! In aldermog there was an occasional trace of crud on the inside mirror, but nothing on the screen or instruments. I've spoken to a couple of other Roadster owners and they both report similar experiences. So +4, new +8 get dirty. Perhaps that is what the "Plus" means...

I took mine out in similar conditions after Peter and Caroline left.
Apart from the airflow deposited muck on the wings I had nothing in the Roadster or on the rear. The roads may have been a tad drier but they were still wet enough and dirty..
There is no mistaking it on the plus 8.
It is a bit strange.
Has anyone got access to aerodynamic modeling software? We could get to the bottom of it.
